Bug 1462263 - missing MS-CHAP-v2 in vpn pptp. Summary: missing MS-CHAP-v2 chap=yes refuse-pap=yes require-mppe-128=yes user=sirber service-type=org.freedesktop Jun 06, 2013 · I had setup a VPN connection on a fully-patched Windows 7 laptop. Typically there are two places where you can access the VPN connection (via GUI) that I am familiar with once the configuration is initially completed: 1. The network connections pop-up from the system tray; 2. 2) Enter the Username and Password to authenticate devices to the PPTP VPN Server. 3) Click OK. Step 2. Configure PPTP VPN Connection on Your Remote Device. The remote device can use the Windows built-in PPTP software or a third-party PPTP software to connect to PPTP Server. Here we use the Windows built-in PPTP software as an example. 1. Click "Add VPN Users" and follow the wizard to select the system users and set their privileges. Delete VPN users. Click "Delete" to remove the VPN users. The users will not be able to connect to the VPN service after being deleted. Connection List . This list shows the connection status of the VPN clients.
